Here are the challenges to be met:

You will be responsible for the procurement and coordination of materials to ensure the smooth running of the production line.  In collaboration with the purchasing team and management, your role is to negotiate with suppliers, coordinate the purchase of parts and materials as well as the manufacturing of parts required for production within the required timeframe according to the production schedule. 

Your main responsabilities will be:

  • Negotiate and purchase raw materials, merchandise, supplies, materials, general or specialized equipment for production purposes;
  •  Determine and negotiate prices with suppliers;
  • Research new suppliers and solicit bids;
  • Develop appropriate business partnerships with suppliers to maintain ongoing collaboration with them;
  • Maintain the required information in our in-house system (prices, minimum quantities, delivery times, main supplier, etc.)
  • Supervise the work of the parts and purchasing clerk and the supply coordinator;
  • Innovate in the ways of working to bring new solutions.



Do you have the necessary requirements?

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a buyer in the manufacturing and/or heavy truck or trailer industry;
  • Knowledge of sheet metal procurement;
  • Very good knowledge of procurement methods and computer systems;
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems and MsOffice suite (Excel, Word and Outlook);
  • Bilingualism, French and English, oral and written.
